Hip HHip Hip Hooray! It’s almost
Back to School- YEAH!
Can
you believe it is already “that time of year again”? Our quiet little school is just 1 month away
from chatter and laughter of classrooms full of children- I can’t wait!
Enclosed in this letter you will find:
Emergency contact information sheet
Child information sheet
“I have read the policies”- signature sheet
Birth Certificate Form
Permission form for play equipment
School supply list
Parent Handbook
Please return completed forms no later than Back To
School Night. Forms can be dropped off
or mailed to the school. The church
office is open from 8:30am – 2:00pm.
New students
must have a health form on file in the office. This is a state regulation. This form can be found online at:
Click on FORMS (on the left)
Scroll to School Entrance Health Form Commonwealth of VA
MCH213
This form can be taken to an upcoming appointment or most
doctors will just fill it out if your child has all appointments and shots up
to date. A copy of your child’s shot
records should be included for the completion of this form.
Returning students do not need a new form.
Also,
new students must present their birth certificate to the
office. This is a state requirement, it
will not be copied; I simply enter the information on a private list for the
school. Bring your child’s birth
certificate to BTSN and we’ll copy the information at that time.
Our Back to School Night is Wednesday
September 8th, 2010 at 6:30 pm. One or both parents may attend. It is your time to ask questions and gather
any needed info. For this reason it is
best to leave children at home. However,
if you have trouble finding care, please bring them rather than miss this
important night- children are always welcome at MVWS.
Meet the Teachers! Friday September 10th is “meet the teacher” time from 9:30-11:00. This
event is open house style- bring your child and allow them to look around the
room, play with a few toys and- most important of all- meet their
teachers. Stay for a few minutes or the
whole time; it is a chance for your child to become more comfortable with
his/her classroom.
The first
days of school for students are Monday the 13th and Tuesday the 14th
of September
I look forward to seeing you at Back to School Night.
Call me if you have any questions or can’t make it.
See you soon!
